Those days were like cyclone to me: Mubashar

North South University (NSU) teacher Mubashar Hasan Caesar, who had gone missing one and a half months ago from capital’s Rokeya Sarani, returned his Banasree residence on Thursday night.

“The kidnappers blindfolded me and taken to an unknown place in a microbus,” he said while talking to journalists in front of his Banasree residence on Friday.

A group of people dropped him in the airport area. Later he took a CNG-run auto-rickshaw for his home and reached there around 1am.

“I wasn’t tortured there. They provided me food regularly and would demand money. Those days were horrible to me,” Mubashar  said.

Breaking down in tears Mubasser said: “I was kept in a dark room with only one window and which was always kept shut.”

He said that the captors would argue with each other whether they would kill me or not.
Mubashar, an assistant professor at NSU’s School of Humanities and Social Sciences, went missing on November 7.

The next day, his family had lodged a general diary with Khilgaon police.
