SC asks Masud to surrender

The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court has asked Atikullah Khan Masud, chairman of Globe Janakantha Shilpa Paribar, to surrender before the judge court within a week in a case filed over building design fraud.

A four-member bench headed by Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha passed the order after hearing on an appeal by Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) on Monday.

ACC filed the case against Masud, also editor of daily Janakantha, on August 9 in 2007 for getting approval of a building design from Rajuk illegaly.
