PM reaches Dubai en route home
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina reached in Dubai, United Arab Emirates this morning on her way back home wrapping up her three-day official visit to France to attend the "One Plane Summit".
An Emirates flight carrying the prime minister and her entourage members landed at Dubai International Airport here at 7:05 am local time, reports BSS.
Bangladesh Ambassador to the UAE Mohammad Imran received the premier at the airport.
After making a stopover here for nearly three and a half hours, the premier will depart Dubai for Dhaka at 10:30 am local time.
She is scheduled to arrive at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 4:55 pm Bangladesh time.
Earlier, the prime minister departed Charles De Gaulle International Airport in Paris at 9:35 pm local time on Wednesday (2:35 am BST Thursday). Bangladesh Ambassador to France Kazi Imtiaz Hossain saw the prime minister off at the airport.
The Bangladesh premier joined the "One Planet Summit" in Paris at the invitation of its co-organizers -- French President Emmanuel Macron, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres and World Bank President Jim Yong Kim.
Over 100 world leaders along with 2,000 participants from non-governmental organisations, foundations, and public and private sectors attended the summit at La Seine Musicale, a music and performing arts center, located at Ile Senguin island in the western suburbs of the French capital on Tuesday.
The prime minister held a bilateral meeting with President Emmanuel Macron at Elysee Palace on Tuesday morning.
She also joined a lunch hosted by the French president for the heads of the state and government, co-organizers and VIPs of the summit at Elysee Palace.
In the afternoon, the prime minister attended a community reception at Intercontinental Paris Le Grand.
On Wednesday, Sheikh Hasina joined a breakfast meeting with top French business leaders at the Hotel Intercontinental Paris Le Grand.
