Women police award introduced

Bangladesh police have launched the women police award for the first time in the country to recognize female police officers who served outstanding performance.

Deputy inspector general of police headquarters Mili Biswas made the announcement at a press conference in her office around 1pm on Wednesday.

Inspector General of Police AKM Sahidul Haque has introduced the award, and this year it will be conferred on 33 female police officers in six categories.

The prize includes a crest, certificate and Tk10000.
