Two women killed in Barisal road accident

Two women were killed and two others injured in a road accident in Rayerhat area under Banaripara upazila of the district this morning.

The deceased were identified as Nupur Akter, 32, wife of Kabir Hawlader a resident of Rayerhat area of the upazila and Fatema Begum, 35, wife of Zahirul Islam, a resident of village Gava Ramchandropur in Jhalokati district, reports BSS.

A Banaripara-bound bus collided with a human hauler coming from the opposite direction in the area around 8:30am, leaving two female passengers dead on the spot and two others, including the human hauler's driver and a child, injured, said Md Sajjad Hossain, officer-in-charge of Banaripara police station.

The injured were sent to Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital, OC said.
