Dhaka concerned over launching missile by Pyongyang

Bangladesh today expressed grave concern at the recent launch of an Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) by North Korea.

"By launching the missile, the DPRK has shown total disregard to the relevant UN Security Council resolutions," a foreign ministry statement said today.

Bangladesh also called upon DPRK to honour its international obligation and commitments and refrain from such show of force and defiance.

"As a signatory to the NPT and CTBT, Bangladesh will continue to work with the International Community for the renunciation of the use of force in international relations and for general and complete disarmament," the statement added.
