SI Ratan sent to jail

A Dhaka court has sent Ratan Kumar Howlader, Sub Inspector of Adabor Police Station, to jail in a case filed for sexually harassing a female student of a private university.

Dhaka Woman and Child Repression Prevention Tribunal 4 Judge Saleh Uddin Ahmed passed the order after Ratan surrendered before the court on Sunday morning.

SI Ratan’s counsel Saidur Rahman Manik submitted a bail petition with the court while Special Public Prosecutor Md Forkan Mia opposed the bail.
