UP Poll clashes injure 24

At least 24 people have been injured including a man received bullet-hit in separate incidents of clash over Union Parishad (UP) Polls at Ali Nagar under Bhola district Sadar Upazila.

The clashes occurred at Hajirhat and Shantirhat area around 10pm on Friday.

Police held two people over the incidents and seized a pipe gun and several hand-bombs from the spot.

The detainees are Smrat and Israfil. Smrat is nephew of chairman candidate Bashir, locals said.
