7 suspected human traffickers arrested

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in an overnight drive in different areas arrested seven suspected members of a gang of international human traffickers.

The identities of the seven could not be confirmed immediately.

Abdul Karim, an assistant director of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab)-3 confirmed the matter on Saturday morning.

‘The gang earlier sent people to Sudan and Libya. Subsequently they used to extract money as ransom from the family members of the victims showing many reasons,’ he said.
