ACC arrests Pankaj Roy in corruption case

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Monday morning arrested the chairman of Alliance Securities & Management Limited Pankaj Roy from his residence at Dhanmondi in the capital in connection with a corruption case.
Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya, Deputy Director of ACC, confirmed the matter to the Jagonews24.com.
He was arrested for possessing illegal wealth worth Tk 8.5 crore, said Motahar, Sub Inspector of Ramna Model Police Station.
Earlier on Sunday night a case was filed against Pankaj Roy on charge of corruption, the police officer added.
