Mayor Sayeed Khokon sued for two defamation cases

Two defamation cases have been filed against Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Mayor Sayeed Khokon for insulting a man over a piece of land at Anandabazar in Dhaka.

Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed filed two defamation cases of Tk 5 crore with the court of chief metropolitan magistrate Mazharul Haque and fourth assistant judicial court on Thursday.

Ekhlas Uddin Bhuyain, lawyer of plaintiff, told Jago News that Mayor Sayeed Khokhon was threatening and insulting his client over a piece of land at Anandabazar in the capital despite of the court’s stay order. For this reason, he (Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed) filed a TK 5 crore two defamation cases against the Mayor.
