Pvt univ student stabbed dead over game of cricket

A private university student was stabbed to death over a dispute arising a game of cricket at Badda in the capital on Monday.

The deceased Nasim Ahmed Emajuddin, 24, son of Ali Ahmed Saifuddin, was a third year student of Manarat International University.

In this connection, Ashraf Ali, Assistant Commissioner of DMP’s Badda zone told Jagonews24.com that “2 to 3 miscreants stabbed Nasim as a sequel to the conflict and fled away in front of his home around 9am.”

Later local people admitted him to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital in a critical condition where the doctors declared him dead, police official added.  

Kazi Wazed Ali, officer-in-charge of Badda Police Station, told Jagonews24.com that “They started operation to detain the culprits in the incident.”
