2 get death for schoolboy murder

A Dhaka court on Sunday gave death penalty to two people in a case filed for killing a schoolboy at Demra in the capital.

Judge Abdullah Al Mamun of the Eighth Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge’s Court passed the order.

The convicts - Shahjahan and Billal Chaprasij - are in the jail.

According to the case statement, Hasan, student of class eight of Cambridge High School was abducted by his neighbors Shahjahan and Billal. They demanded Tk 5 lakh from Hasan’s father for his release. The culprits strangled Hasan to death despite being received Tk 50 thousand.

Later Hasan’s father Anwar Hossain filed a case against them with Demra Police Station on November 18, 2014.
