Man killed in ‘gunfight’ with detectives

A suspected criminal was killed in a ‘gunfight’ with the members of Detective Branch of Police in capital’s Khilgaon area early on Tuesday.

The deceased could not be identified immediately.

Kazi Mainul Hossain, officer-in-charge of the Khilgaon Police Station, said the man is around 35 years of age and he was killed in gunfight with detectives.

He was declared dead around 5am after being rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, the police official added.
