State Minister for Foreign Affairs M Shahriar Alam attended the funeral programme of former Thai King Bhumibol Adulyadej, a man revered as a demigod who became the world’s longest-reigning monarch, on Thursday.

Thai Commerce Minister received him at the airport, according to a news agency.

Kings, Queens, Presidents and Prime Ministers of 42 countries attended the funeral programme.

Bhumibol Adulyadej, the king of Thailand, died more than a year ago — but his send-off was held on Thursday.
