3 killed in 2 launches clash

A woman along with her two children was killed in collision between two launches in the Meghna River at Kaliganj under Mehendiganj upazila in Barisal on Saturday night.

The deceased were identified as Tasnima Begum, 45, her son Hiron, 22, and daughter Jannat, 7 and her other daughter Nasrin, 14, was critically injured in the incident.

In this connection supervisor of Samrat-3 launch Jakir Hossain said samrat-3 launch clashed with Jahid-4, leaving Tasnima Begum and her daughter Jannat dead on the spot. Her son Hiron also died while taking to Dhaka.
