3 suspected JMB men held

The members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-5 in a drive detained three suspected members of banned militant outfit Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) from Sheguna area in Baghmara upazila in Rajshahi early on Sunday.

A total of 16 crude bombs, seven grenades and propaganda booklets have been recovered from their possession during the drive.

RAB-5 official assistant superintendent of police Alok Biswas confirmed the matter to the journalists.

He said, on information, a team of RAB conducted a drive in the area and arrested Anisur Rahman, resident of Wapda Colony in Fenchuganj upazila of Sylhet, Abu Sayeed Manik, of Fulpur upazila in Mymensingh and Shahen Shah, from Maijdi area in Sadar upazila of Noakhali district, when they were staying three at about 5:00am.
