2 held over DIU student murder
Police in a drive held two people in connection with the murder of a student of Daffodil International University (DIU) Khandakar Abu Talha on Tuesday night.
Police didn’t disclose their identities.
In a mobile massage, Media and Public Relations department of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to the journalists on Wednesday morning.
On October 8, Abu Talha, 19, a second-year student of the university, fell prey to muggers near his home in the capital’s Tikatuli and lost his life having been stabbed by them.
On October 13, Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested the ringleader of a mugger gang from Rupsha area in Narayanganj district.
The arrestee was identified as Jibon Hossian Litu, 28, the kingpin of the gang which used to mug in the city’s Tikatuli area.
