SC Bar Assoc poll Mar 23, 24

The election of Supreme Court Bar Association for the session of 2016-17 will be held on March 23 and 24.

A total of 14 executive posts including president and secretary will be elected through the election.

Confirming the matter, Superintendent of Supreme Court Bar Nimesh Chandra Das said the date was fixed in a meeting at its office on Sunday night.

He said the date for submission of nomination paper is on March 1-10, and withdrawal till March 13.

This year a total of 5,028 lawyers, who have registered their names as voters will cast vote.

The vote will be taking place from 10 am to 5 pm, including one hour lunch break.
