Depositions in N’ganj 7-murder begin

A court in Narayanganj has begun recording depositions of witnesses in the two cases filed over the 2014 murders of seven people.

The Court of District and Sessions Judge Enayet Hossain started hearing testimonies at around 10:45am on Monday.

Police produced the 23 accused in cases, including prime suspect Nur Hossain and three former RAB officials, for the hearings.

In April last year, seven people including Narayanganj city panel mayor Nazrul Islam and senior lawyer Chandan Sarker were abducted.

Their bodies were later found floating on the Shitalakkhya river.

Three former Rab officials, Tareque, in-law of a minister, Arif and Rana confessed their involvement to the killing.
