Two youths hacked to death in Narayanganj

Two youths were hacked to death by rivals at Hosain Nagar under Sadar upazila of the district last night over previous enmity.

The victims - Milton, son of Shaheb Ali and Parvej, son of Mizanur Rahman of the area - had been at loggerheads with an influential gang led by one Bappi over establishing supremacy in the area, police said, according to a news agency.

A gang of Bappi group stormed into a rickshaw garage, owned by Milton, and hacked the duo to death with sharp weapons around 9:30 pm, said Superintendent of Police (SP) Moinul Haque of the district.

Members of the Bappi group also set fire to the rickshaw garage and later on looted valuables from an adjoining garment factory, said locals.

Police recovered the bodies and sent those to Narayanganj General Hospital for autopsies, the SP added.
