Egg at Tk 3 marking World Egg Day today

Bangladesh will observe the World Egg Day today with over 40 countries of the world simultaneously.

Department of Livestock Services (DLS) and Bangladesh Poultry Industries Central Council (BPICC) will sell egg at special discount of Taka 3 each egg, according to a news agency.

Eggs will be sold between 10am to 1pm at the Krishibid Institution at Khamarbari here, sources said.

Earlier, BPICC President Mashiur Rahman said preparations were taken to observe the day across the country in a befitting manner. Marking the day, procession will be brought out and discussions will be staged at divisional cities under the arrangement of BPICC and DPS, he said.

In the district towns, DPS and different organization of professionals will observe the World Egg Day.

A colorful procession will be brought out from Krishibid Institution in the capital Dhaka at 9am which will return to the venue after marching different city streets.

A discussion will be held at 10am at the 3-D Seminar Hall at the institution.

State Minister for Fisheries and Livestock Narayon Chandra Chanda will attend it as the chief guest.
