Former Minister Enamul Haque dies
Former Social Welfare Minister Enamul Haque Mostafa Shahid passes away at a hospital in Dhaka on Thursday. He was 78.
Enamul Haque, who had been suffering from kidney problems, breathed his last at Square Hospitals Ltd at about 12:30pm, said his elder son Nizamul Haque Rana.
He left behind wife, two sons and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
He served as the social welfare minister from 6 January, 2009 to March 14, 2014. He was also an Ekushey Padak recipient.
