Key accused of 4 kid murder killed in ‘gunfight’

The key accused in killing four children case, Bachchu Miah, was killed in ‘gunfight’ with the members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB).

The ‘gunfight’ took place around 4am on Thursday in Deurgachh area under Chunarughat upazila.

At this time 2 RAB personnel were injured and one suspected named Shahed Ali was detained in connection with murder of four children.

Kazi Moniruzzaman, Commander of RAB-9 said, being informed they conducted a  drive in the area and sensing the presence of law enforcers, Bachchu Mia and his associates opened fire, forcing the RAB members to back fire that triggered a gunfight, leaving Bachchu Mia bullet-hit.

Bachchu Mia was immediately taken to Chunarughat Upazila Health Complex but he died later, he added.
