Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha is now living at his home, said Acting Chief Justice Abdul Wahhab Miah.

In a reply to a question of Joynul Abedin, President of Supreme Court Bar Association, Wahhab told the lawyers at the Appeal division of the court on Thursday.

Former president of SCBA Barrister Moinul Hossain, Advocate Khandaker Mahbub Hossian, AJ Mohammad Ali, Barrister Moudud Ahmed, former Justice Khademul Islam, Nazrul Islam Chowdhury, Advocate Subrata Chowdhury and Barrister Mahbub Uddin Khokon, were present among others during this time.

President Abdul Hamid appointed Justice Abdul Wahhab Miah as the acting chief justice on Tuesday.

The president also granted Chief Justice SK Sinha’s application for a month’s leave on health grounds from October 3 to November 1.
