6 robbers detained in capital

The members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained six robbers including their gang leader after a ‘gunfight’ in the old Dhaka’s Narinda area early on Tuesday.

RAB members also recovered arms and explosives from them.

According to sources, RAB have information that a gang of robbers were taking preparations to commit robbery and RAB members conducted a drive in the area.

Sensing the presence of law enforcers, dacoits opened fire forcing the RAB men to back fire that triggered a gunfight, leaving the gang leader Rubel bullet-hit. Later, six dacoits were arrested from the spot.
