Gulshan’s Star Tower catches fire

A fire broke out in Star Tower at Gulshan in the city on Thursday morning, reports BSS.

The fire took place around 8.15 am today in a plastic goods importing agency house on the fifth floor of the six-storey building at road no-138, house SEC-2 at Gulshan, fire brigade sources said.

It originated from an electric short circuit, the sources said, adding that none was however hurt in the fire.

Being informed, two firefighting engines from Gulshan Fire Station were rushed to the place of occurrence and doused the flame around 8.55am, the sources said.

The damage caused by the fire could not be ascertained immediately.
