Tight security for Feb 21

Dhaka Metropolitan Police Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia said tight security measures were taken following Sunday’s International Mother Language Day in the capital.

The DMP commissioner confirmed this to journalists during a visit in Shaheed Minar around 11:30am on Saturday where the people will pay respect to language martyrs.

Asaduzzaman Mia said we are servant of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. It is our duty to arrange security for every citizen of the country. If anyone feels insecure, we will ensure security for him/her following evaluating the intelligence.

No criminal would be able to run any attacks on the Shaheed Minar premises by breaking their security arrangements, the DMP boss added.
