SC order on Fakhrul’s bail pleas Feb 22

The Supreme Court (SC) fixed February 22 for passing order on the petitions filed by BNP acting Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir seeking bail extension in three violence cases.

A five-member bench of the Appellate Division, headed by Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha, fixed the date after hearing the petitions.

On January 7, the BNP leader filed the petitions with the SC seeking extension of the High Court order as the bail period will expire on February 23.
