Bangladesh signs with Malaysia to send 15 lakh labors
Bangladesh has signed a memorandum of understanding with Malaysia to send 15 lakh workers in three on Thursday.
Bangladesh will export manpower to the country to be recruited in service, construction, farming, plantation and manufacturing under the agreement called government to government (G2G) system.
Bangladesh Expatriate’s Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Nurul Islam and Malaysian Human Resources Minister Richard Riot Anak Jaem signed the MoU at Expatriate’s Welfare office in the capital’s Eskaton.
The recruitment will be fair and transparent, said the Malaysian HRD minister responding to the reporters’ queries after the occasion.
On 8 February, the cabinet approved the draft of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Malaysia, which has set a target of deploying 1.5 million Bangladeshi workers in three years.
