Jessore road crash kills 2

Two people were killed and ten others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a truck.

The incident took place at Batar Amtala on Jessore-Magura road in Bagharpara upazila on Monday morning.

One of the deceased was identified as Salma Sultana, 32, wife of Zahid Hossain, a resident of Hazipara in Agrabad area of Chittagong.

The injured were admitted to Jessore Medical College Hospital.

Officer-in-charge of Bagharpara Police Station Chhoiruddin said a Benapole-bound bus of ‘Green Line Paribahan’ from Chittagong collided with a truck coming from the opposite direction in the area around 7:30 am, leaving the duo, both passenger of the bus, dead on the spot and 10 people injured.
