Bus-truck collision kills 6 in Gopalganj

At least six people were killed and thirty others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a truck on Dhaka-Khulna highway near Dhusor bridge of Kashiani upazila in Gopalganj early Saturday.

Identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

17 of 30 injured people were admitted to Kashiani Upazila Health Complex and Faridpur Medical College and Hospital.

In this connection, Jakaria Hossain, officer-in-charge of Kashiani Police Station, told Jagonews24.com that, “A Gopalganj-bound passenger bus collided head on with a cement-laden truck around 6.30am in the area.

At that time six people were killed on the spot and thirty others injured, the OC added.
