SC upholds bail for Mahmudur

The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court (SC) has upheld the bail for Mahmudur Rahman, Acting Editor of The Daily Amardesh that granted High Court in the case under ICT act.

The five-member bench headed by Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha passed the order rejecting the state plea in the case on Sunday.

Senior lawyer A J Mohammad Ali, Advocate Saleh Uddin, Barrister Tanvir Ahmed Alamin moved for the offender as defence lawyers, while Attorney General Mahbubey Alam represented the state.
