Journos demand 9th wage board

The leaders of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) on Saturday demanded immediate formation of the 9th Wage Board for enhancement of salary scales for journalists.

Leaders told a meeting of the executive committee of BFUJ that the government should take immediate steps for announcing the ninth Wage Board, says a press release.

Chaired by acting president of BFUJ Jafar Wazed, the meeting was conducted by its secretary general Omar Faruk. The leaders also demanded to the owners of media to give allowance, declared by the government before Pohela Boishakh.
