Tk 11.90lakh of 2 bKash agents snatched

Muggers snatched Tk 11.90 lakh after shooting two employees of bKash, a mobile money transfer provider and a BRAC bank company.

The incident took place at Kafrul area in the capital on Saturday.

General Manager of the company Zainul Abedin said Mosharraf, 35, and Alamin, 32, collected the money from different bkash agents of Mirpur-13 area in the morning.

When they were returning to the office of AID distributor in Mirpur-14 area, 5-6 muggers, riding two motorcycles, intercepted their motorbike opposite to the Police Staff College around 10:15 am, he said.

As the two employees tried to resist, the muggers fired gunshots and fled the scene with the money, leaving them injured, said Zainul Abedin quoting the victims.

Confirming the matter, Assistant Commissioner (Pallabi Zone) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Zakir Hossain said police are trying to arrest the culprits.
