Steps against accused cops: IGP

Inspector General of Police A. K. M. Shahidul Haque said the police department has taken strongly action against the members of the department after the investigations who are accused in different allegations.

IGP said this at a book launching program which was held at Dhaka Club on Saturday.

Shahidul Haque said police personnel arrested the attackers who killed the blogger, free thinkers and writers but they didn’t detain the culprits of Abhijit killing.

Theater personality Ataur Rahman chaired the program.

The editor of Bangladesh Pratidin Nayeem Nizam, Managing Director of 71 Television Mozammel Haque Babu, President of Dhaka Club were present among others.
