Father of cricketer Pilot drowns in Rajshahi

Father of former captain of Bangladesh National Cricket Team Khaled Masud Pilot today drowned in a pond at Sagarpara under Boalia police station of the city.
Quoting locals Farhad Hossain, station officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence, told journalists that Shamsul Islam, 70, a former footballer, drowned while he was taking bath in a pond adjacent to his residence around 11:30 am.
Later, a team of divers recovered the body from the pond at about 2:30 pm.
