Rail links with Khulna partially restored after 11-hour

The rail communication of Khulna with the rest of the country was partially restored at 7.30am on Saturday morning after an eleven-hour disruption due to derailment.
In this connection, Poradah Station Master Shariful Islam said the train has been plying on the down line [Dhaka to Khulna] whereas the up line [Khulna to Dhaka] is still closed.
The rail link will be fully restored by noon, he added.
Earlier around 8pm, a compartment of Rajshahi-bound Sagordari Express, including engine, had derailed near to Poradah Rail Station.
