50 killed in floods, 32 lakh affected

At least 50 people have been killed and 32 lakh people in 22 districts affected by the flash floods triggered by incessant rains.
The parliamentary standing committee on Ministry of Water Resources disclosed this at the 30th meeting at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban on Thursday.
Ramesh Chandra Sen, president of the committee and former Water Resources Minister confirmed the matter to the Jagonews24.com.
One-third of the 1900-kilometre embankment under Bangladesh Water Development Board has been collapsed, according to the meeting.
