Legal notice served for publishing Taslima’s column
A legal notice has been sent to the editor and publisher of the daily Bangladesh Pratidin for publishing a column of exiled author Taslima Nasrin tilted ‘Porn’.
A Supreme Court lawyer Barrister Abdul Halim on Wednesday served the notice on behalf of Maulana Abdul Jalil, Organizing Secretary of the Bangladesh Awami Olama League.
It is said in a notice, a writing of Taslima titled ‘Porn’ was published on page 4 of Bangladesh Pratidin on July 20 so that it has been encouraged to spread the obscenity in the society.
If the proper reply is not given to the notice within seven days, legal action will be taken against Bangladesh Pratidin editor Naim Nizam and publisher Moinal Hussain Choudhury, according to the notice.
