Hospitals to offer free services on Nat’l Mourning Day
Public hospitals across the country and some private hospitals in the capital will provide free medical services to the people, marking the National Mourning Day.
According a decision taken last week by the health ministry, the public hospitals will not take the usual nominal fee from outdoor patients while laboratory and pathological services, including blood examination, will be provided free of cost.
The free medical services will be available from 9am to 12noon on the National Mourning Day on August 15.
On the day, doctors, nurses, officers and employees will wear black badges as a mark of respect to the martyrs of the August 15 carnage of 1975.
