Indefinite bus strike in 6 Barisal districts

Associations representing transport owners and workers in Barisal have enforced an indefinite bus strike protesting the attack on their leaders including the president of bus owners’ association.

The strike started in six districts of Barisal at 6am on Thursday after a meeting involving Barisal Road Transport Workers Union and Bus Owners Association on Wednesday.

Kawsar Hussain, general secretary of Rupatoli Bus Owners’ Association, confirmed the matter to the Jagonews24.com.

He said, five labors including Barisal-Patuakhali Minibus Owners’ Association Nazrul Islam Khokon were hacked when they went to stop three-wheeler vehicles on local highway.
