Prime accused of child killing shot dead

The prime accused in Keraniganj child murder case was killed in a ‘gunfight’ with the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) members in Chitkhola area in Dhaka early on Monday.

The deceased is Motahar.

Legal and Media wing Director of RAB Mufti Mahmud Khan and Commander of RAB-10 Jahangir Hosen Matubbar separately told Jagonews24.com that Motahar was killed in the ‘gunfight’.

Jahangir Hosen said, RAB-10 led by Sadrul were on duty in Chitkhola. In presence of them Motaher opened fire on RAB members along with his some associate.

In reply RAB personnel shot on them while Motaher was killed and his associate managed to flee away, he said.

RAB members recovered two motorcycles, arms and bullets from their possession, he added.

It is mentionable that, the body of Abdullah, 11, a Class Five student of Mugarchar Government Primary School and son of Md Badol Hossain, was recovered from a plastic drum at a house in Mugarchar area after four days of his abduction.
