5 Bangladeshi hajj pilgrims die in Saudi
A total of five Bangladeshi hajj pilgrims died between July 28 and August 6 - because of various reasons including old age complications - in Saudi Arabia this year, according to hajj bulletin published from Mecca.
The bulletin says five Bangladeshi hajjis died in Mecca, all are male.
The deceased are: Md. Badsha Hussain, 74, pilgrim number- 0085118 from Chapainawabganj, Md. Jahangir Kamal, 66, pilgrim number- 0719081, from Natore, Abdur Razzak, 75, pilgrim number- 0598159, Md. Farid Uddin, 61, pilgrim number- 0152211, from Barishal and Khandaker A R M Yousuf, 74, pilgrim number- 0036217 from Netrakona.
This year, some 127,198 pilgrims will perform Hajj from Bangladesh under government and private managements.
On July 24, the first Hajj flight of Biman carrying 418 Bangladeshi pilgrims took off from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.
The Hajj flights will be operated till August 26.
The return flight will start on September 6 and continue till October 5.
