Surplus Public Servants Absorption Bill passed

The Jatiya Sangsad on Sunday passed the ‘Surplus Public Servants Absorption Bill, 2016 with a view to continuing the services of the surplus staff in the civil service.

State Minister for Public Administration Ismat Ara Sadique moved the bill, which was a continuity of the Public Servants Absorption Ordinance 1985.

The House endorsed bill through voice votes with Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury in the chair.

Earlier, the bill was placed in the Jatiya Sangsad on November 16, 2015 after getting cabinet’s approval.
