60 media personalities to be invited for polls talks

The Election Commission (EC) will invite 60 renowned media personalities to join the electoral dialogue with the commission on August 16, 17.

Helal Uddin Ahmed, EC secretary, said this while speaking to the journalists on Sunday.

After the dialogue, EC would meet six political parties in late August. The dialogue will continue from September 10 after Eid-Ul-Azha.

Earlier, on July 31, most civil society members during talks with the Election Commission spoke for restoring “no vote” system and ensuring a level-playing field for all political parties to hold the next election in a free, fair and participatory manner.
