Evidence of Bogra rape found

Doctors have found evidence of rape of a girl who allegedly was raped by Sramik League leader Tufan Sarka in Bogra, according to a forensic report by Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital.

The authority of the hospital submitted the report to the police on Thursday.

Professor Dr AKM Saiful Islam, head of the Forensic Medicine Department of the hospital, told Jago News, “We submitted the report to the police.”

Bogra Police Super Asaduzzaman said, “We received the report and the result is positive of sexual relations. The report said the girl was 17 years old.”

Meanwhile, police conducted raids on the house of Marzia Hasan Rumi, a municipal councilor as well as elder sister of Tufan’s wife, and seized evidence of shaving the heads of the girl and her mother and torturing them.

Police also received an arrest warrant for Tufan’s elder brother and Juba League leader Matin Sarkar in another case.
