Army must stay ready to scarifice for the nation : PM

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Sunday said Bangladesh Army has to remain prepared for any kind of sacrifice for the sake of the nation.

The Prime Minister said this while addressing the Army Headquarters Selection Board -2015 at the Army Headquarters in Dhaka Cantonment.

The PM also suggested considering the pro-liberation war officials as a priority besides educational qualifications, professional excellence, honesty, trust worthiness and loyalty while promoting to higher ranks.

Leadership must be bestowed upon the patriotic officers, she said.

The Pm mentioned two FM-90, Surface to Air Missile System regiment will be included in the Bangladesh Army by 2017 that will strengthen the military capability of the army and enable members of the force to work at the UN Peacekeeping Missions with more professionalism.
