Moosa sued for evading Tk 2.17cr tax

Customs intelligence today filed a case against business magnate Moosa Bin Shamsher on charges of dodging tax of Taka 2.17 crore.

Md Zakir Hossain, assistant revenue officer (ARO) of the customs intelligence filed the case with Gulshan Police Station and the case number is 28, officer-in-charge (OC) Md Abu Bakar Siddique told BSS this afternoon.

In the case details it was alleged that Musa evaded tax of Taka 2.17 crore in using a luxurious Range Rover which was imported under carnet advantage, he also said.

The case details also said that the business tycoon submitted an unclear statement of depositing Taka 96,000 in a Swiss Bank account, he added

Customs intelligence personnel seized the car from Gulshan residence of Moosa on March 21 last.
