HC summons 3 over botched surgery in Barisal

The High Court today summoned three persons, including two doctors, for leaving gauze inside the abdomen of a lady while conducting surgery on her, reports BSS.
The three accused are head of Department of Gynecology of Barisal Medical College, civil surgeon of Patuakhali and proprietor of a private clinic named Niramoy Medical.
A High Court division bench comprising Justice Salma Masud Chowdhury and Justice AKM Zahirul Hoque passed the order on suo moto, asking the trio to appear before the court on August 1 and place their explanations.
